One thing I absolutely love about the Fire Emblem series is being able to consistently create a diverse cast of characters for each entry. There's always something that differentiates them from other characters of their own games and from even other entries, and it makes getting to know these characters an interesting and enjoyable experience. With this blog series, I hope to highlight some of my favorite characters of the franchise.

Other interesting quirks:
+ His birthday is on October 10th
+ The most adept potato peeler of the Shepherds
+ Has quite the case of gynophobia
Despite his loyalties to Khan Basilio and the frigid nation of Regna Ferox, Lon'qu was born in the verdant country of Chon'sin, a place steeped in its own customs. However, he lived an impoverished lifestyle in the slums throughout his childhood. One day, he became acquainted with a young lass named Ke'ri, and the two became very close friends growing up. They were on a picnic outing when they were beset by bandits, and the poor girl was killed trying to protect Lon'qu as a result. Between being overwhelmed with guilt and blamed by her parents over her death, he was overcome with nightmares from that incident, which majorly attributed to his development of gynophobia.
From these events, Lon'qu made his way to Regna Ferox, where he soon became Basilio's protégé and eventual champion of Western Ferox after intense training. For many years, the swordsman helped retain the West Khan's rank as the reigning authority of the whole nation by winning the yearly tournaments, but one day he was strangely defeated by the enigmatic warrior Marth. Even with his loss, Basilio was insistent on contributing assistance to the Ylissean army and sent his former champion for their cause.
Stoic and often keeping to himself, Lon'qu isn't exactly the most personable ally around, but his swordsmanship is unparalleled and invaluable to the Shepherds. As his aforementioned fear suggests, he quakes with nervousness in the presence of women, though he does try his best to overcome his weakness. Though he is considered cool by most, he can also be easily provoked if irritated enough. Lon'qu does his utmost to maintain his physique, and he does not like to indulge much at all.
After the wars end, Lon'qu reassumes his position as the West Khan's champion.
