With another year gone, there comes another 365 days that will hold a steady slew of new games to look forward to. For 2015, the outlook of upcoming releases is absolutely ridiculous; even with possible delays, the line-up is truly shaping up to be one of the best in recent years! Like seriously, my funds will be taking a huge hit before the year is over~! *cries*

I'll be avoiding titles that doesn't seem likely to show up this year, so no Kingdom Hearts III or Final Fantasy XV! :P Here are my most anticipated games of the upcoming year:

Game: Xenoblade Chronicles X

Platform: Wii U

It's hard to not be excited for the follow-up of one of my all-time favorite JRPGs, especially when it looks as amazing as it does. Every trailer so far has done nothing but hyping me up further for Monolith Soft's next project, so I'll definitely be looking forward to picking this up day one! I'm really hoping Nintendo pushes for the game to arrive this year in the West, especially with a Spring release date for Japan looking likely.

Game: Tales of Zestiria

Platform: Playstation 3

I wasn't initially a fan of the design choices of some of the characters, but they eventually grew on me, especially Sorey and Mikleo. Even so, my gripes still hasn't hampered my excitement for the latest Tales game, and it's coming up quite gorgeously now that the battles are seamlessly integrated into its open world.

Game: Legend of Zelda Wii U (working title)

Platform: Nintendo Wii U

Seeing the colorful, grandiose realm of Hyrule has undoubtedly captured my attention. With an even greater focus on exploration thanks to the game's vast world, this is the first Zelda that has me truly excited for it since Twilight Princess. Aonuma's comments of the upcoming entry of the franchise makes me wonder what other established characteristics are remolded or broken to fit into Zelda's first HD title.

Game: Uncharted 4 - A Thief's End

Platform: Playstation 4

I still haven't gotten around to playing most of the series, so why am I excited for this game, you say? Well, that's easy; gathering the DNUT crew for the next generation of Uncharted multiplayer! This game is what's likely to sell me on another one of the eighth generation of consoles, I just hope that its release doesn't clash with Zelda. :P

Game: Codename S.T.E.A.M.

Platform: Nintendo 3DS

A SRPG made by one of my favorite developers of all-time? DAY ONE! Seriously, with Intelligent Systems at the helm, there isn't much for me to not be excited about this game; its zany twist on the steam-punk genre already piqued my interest! Plus, the game-play itself is reminiscent to another one of my favorite titles: Valkyria Chronicles.

Game: Persona 5

Platform: PS3, PS4

I've played a plethora of titles underneath Atlus' banner this past year, and they've quickly become one of my favorite developers as a result. Persona 5 is one of two games I'll be looking forward from them in the future!

And now for the honorable mentions:

  • Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
  • The Witcher III: Wild Hunt
  • Hyper Light Drifter
  • Yoshi's Woolly World
  • Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Break Record
  • Splatoon
  • Bravely Second
  • RollerCoaster Tycoon World
  • Devil's Third
  • Star Fox Wii U
  • Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
  • *insert inevitable Pokémon game here* face_mischief I hope I'm wrong with this...

Gosh, that's quite the list! face_hypnotized Anyways, I hope you folks enjoyed reading my thoughts about these NEW GAEMZ! Until next time! face_peace
